Australian Scientist: Eat Kangaroo To Help Reduce Greenhouse Gas

An Australian scientist by the name of George Wilson says eating Kangaroo meat can significantly help reduce the emission of those environment-altering greenhouse gases.

Like how?

The logic goes like this. The methane produced by cows and sheep causes more harm to the environment than carbon dioxide. Kangaroos don't produce methane. So if people were to switch from eating cow/sheep to kangaroo, then there will be less cows/sheep. Less cows/sheep means less methane gas.

Dr. Wilson says kangaroo meat is "not unlike venison -- only a different flavour."

In other news, four wildlife groups are calling for a moratorium on killing of kangaroos, claiming five species are at dangerously low levels.
