The animal rights group PETA sent a letter asking the maker of Ben & Jerry ice cream to use human milk in their products. Ben & Jerry thanked PETA for the suggestion and then said no thanks.
The good folks over at PETA was inspired by a Swiss restaurant saying they'll be using human milk for some of the dishes in their menu and sent a letter to Ben & Jerry for them to do the same in their ice creams, citing the various health benefits.
A Ben & Jerry spokesman applauded PETA for the novel idea, but said the mother's milk is best used by a child.
I don't think PETA appreciates the logistics of getting enough human milk to produce ice cream at the scale of a Ben & Jerry, ick factor aside.
