Gerry and Michelle Finn is alive today all thanks to their six-month old rabbit.

The couple was asleep when the rabbit's scratching at their bedroom door woke them up. And when they did, they discovered a fire was quickly engulfing their house.

"We were both asleep. It was very lucky for both of us," Michelle told The Daily Telegraph.

The couple and the rabbit all got out alive, but their house, which they spent two years renovating, was in a bad shape after the fire was put out.

"We've been renovating for two years - we started with a disaster, and now this. All that hard work gone," Michelle said.
